Hi! My name is Shady.
I founded my small business with the goal of assisting dogs and their owners in meeting their daily needs and requirements. With over eight years of experience in pet care, coupled with a professional background in hospitality and customer service, I take great pride in providing your furry family members with the utmost care and love they deserve.

Hayley
🐾 Hayley joined Shady Waggers in April 2024 with a background in Animal Science and a lifelong love for animals. Known for her connection with pets at any event, she brings that same warmth and dedication to each Shady Waggers visit. 🐕💕 Hayley is the proud pet parent of Frankie, her sugar glider, and Frankie’s six adorable babies—Billie, Gizmo, Taz, Stitch, Moon, and Luna. 🐭🐭
Hayley’s favorite part of her job is showering pets with love and attention through massages and belly rubs. If she could be any animal, she’d choose either a donkey, enjoying the simple life, or a raccoon, the “trash panda” foodie at heart. 🐴🦝 Her dream adventure with a dog would be a fun day at the beach or park—or maybe even an adventure to Rome or London! 🏖️✈️
Outside of work, Hayley loves to unwind with a good book, do her nails, or indulge in her favorite foods. 🍕📖 For her, every day at Shady Waggers is a memorable one, filled with the joy and excitement pets bring to her day. Her advice to new pet parents? “Spend time giving your pet your full, undivided attention.” 🌟
Chelsey
✨ Chelsey joined Shady Waggers the day after Hurricane Beryl hit, bringing a diverse background in pet care. She began as a nanny, caring for a family’s dog along with their children, and later found new purpose in dog walking during a transformative time in her 30s. Now at Shady Waggers, she loves bonding with each pet and discovering their unique personalities. 🐶💕
Chelsey’s own pets include two brother cats, Lt. Dan and Lil Shank, who are full of character and tricks, plus a playful pink and yellow corn snake named Princess Buttercup, who enjoys taunting the cats from his tank. 🐱🐍 For each visit, Chelsey tailors her approach, greeting some pets with enthusiasm and adventuring with others. 🐾
If she could be any animal, Chelsey would be a spotted skunk for their cute charm and unique character. Her dream outing would be a dog park with a water feature for pets to splash in. 💦🌞 Chelsey’s advice to new pet parents? “Be patient—your pet is learning a new life with you, and the effort is worth it!” 💖
She feels motivated each day by the joy in pets’ eyes when they see her, and she values Shady’s teamwork-focused leadership. A memorable part of her job is bonding with pets like Truffles, her “sweet and spicy bestie,” who always brings laughter to her day. 🌟
Greg
🐾 Greg joined Shady Waggers in October 2024 as an apprentice to Shady, the “dog whisperer” himself. He brings a genuine passion for pet care and is proud to be the dog dad of Princess Poppy, his “half angel, half gremlin” French Bulldog who keeps him on his toes with endless energy. During each visit, Greg’s favorite part is giving belly rubs and back scratches, making every dog feel extra loved. 🐕💖
🦅 If Greg could be any animal, he’d be an eagle, soaring high and free to explore the world. When he’s not busy with pet care, he unwinds by watching sports, even though it doesn’t always feel relaxing! 📺🏈 His dream adventure with a dog would be to take Poppy on a river trip with rapids and a camp-out in the wilderness. 🏞️⛺️
🎉 Greg brings a fun flair to the team with his hidden talent—juggling—and his people skills, making him a hit with pets and clients alike. Inspired by Shady’s dedication to staff, clients, and pets, Greg is motivated to give his best every day. His advice to new pet parents? “Be clear on your expectations, and we’ll go above and beyond to meet them.” 🌟
A favorite memory for Greg is Halloween season, when some furry friends strike hilarious poses in front of spooky decorations. 🎃🐶

The Shady Waggers Story
In 2015, Shady’s journey into pet care began when his roommate hired a dog walker for her two adorable pups. However, on a particularly hot day, the walker failed to take the little guys out for their daily exercise stroll and potty break session, leaving them neglected while she was engrossed in her phone. Unbeknownst to the walker, Shady was at home and heard their whimpers for attention. The following evening, Shady told his roommate what happened and offered to take the pups for their much-needed walk. It was in that moment that Shady Waggers was born, driven by the desire to provide quality care and love for pets everywhere. So when people ask how and when we got into pet care, the truth is, the business found us, and we’re committed to making sure every pet receives the love and attention they deserve.
From there Shady Waggers has grown into a small, talented team allowing us to be there for your pets with no love lost.

Shady Waggers values transparency and keeping clients informed about their pet’s well-being. We use GPS tracking for all walks and visits, and pet parents can access the information through their pet’s report card via the app, text, or email. The report cards include details about their pet’s experience, map of our walk, including whether they went potty, a note about our time together, and a photo of their pet. Clients are notified as soon as services have been completed.
We love to share our adventures with the pack on social media, and you just might see your furry friend out and about in our fun photos and videos.
Our easy-to-use app also allows you to make bookings, update your pet profile and home entry information, review report cards, and manage billing, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. What Kind of Pet Services Do You Offer?
From dog walks to feeding your feline friend, we’ve got you covered! Our visits come with a little extra: a GPS screenshot of your dog’s walk, a detailed service summary, refreshed water bowls, and photos that are too cute to resist!
Where Do You Offer Your Services?
We mainly strut our stuff inside Houston’s 610 loop. This includes neighborhoods like The Galleria, West U, Rice Village, The Heights, Montrose, Downtown, and EaDo.
How Do I Book a Service?
It’s a walk in the park! Use our dedicated Time to Pet app to pick the service, date, and time you prefer. Once we approve it, you’ll get a confirmation email.
Are Your Pet Caregivers Trained?
You bet! Our caregivers go through thorough training and regular refreshers. They’ve also got background checks you can trust.
What If It’s Raining Cats and Dogs or 110°?
Don’t worry, your pet will at least get a quick potty break. The rest of the visit will be indoor fun and games to keep those tails wagging!
Can I Meet My Pet Caregiver?
While we offer meet-and-greets, they do come with a fee. Rest assured, our team is top-notch, and we’re confident you’ll love our services from the first wag or purr.
What’s Your Booking Policy?
All bookings are requests until approved. For the best shot at your preferred time, book early! Last-minute bookings (less than 24 hours) may not always get approved.
What’s the 411 on Cancellations?
You can cancel anytime on the app. But if it’s less than 24 hours before your service, there’s a $26 charge. Don’t worry, we’re forgiving—your first two oopsies are on us!
